There are weddings that feel as if they were always written in the script. Marisol and Cristophe's was one of those stories that, although slowed by time and distance, blossomed more powerfully than ever.
We met in 2019, when they imagined their wedding in a small chateau in Provence, surrounded by vineyards, ancient stone, and cypress trees that drew the sky. It was supposed to take place in 2020, but like many other stories, it was postponed due to the pandemic. What followed were years of waiting, postponed dreams, and remote planning. And finally, in the summer of 2022, their story came to life.
A ceremony between architecture and gardens
The symbolic ceremony was held outdoors, accompanied by their closest family and friends. Instead of a traditional altar, we decided to take advantage of the architecture of the venue. The imposing entrance gate to the chateau—made of light-colored stone, antique ironwork, and architecture that whispered of history—became the focal point.
We designed an ethereal floral arrangement, as if the flowers had been born there, among the stones and the light. Delphiniums, garden roses, lisianthus, and clematis in shades of antique rose, lavender, and cream blended with the wild greenery of the surroundings. The result was a scene that looked like something out of an Impressionist painting, delicate and organic, as if time had stopped just for them.
A reception in the French gardens
The reception took place in one of the chateau's gardens, where we built a dream space from scratch. Round tables and a king-size table were placed under a lightweight structure decorated with white chiffon fabrics and a floating central chandelier. The tablecloths were soft linen in natural tones that enhanced the rustic elegance of the concept.
The centerpieces were designed in floral arrangements with movement and texture: slender-stemmed flowers, soft petals, and small wild daisies. Everything was designed to create a soft, light, and natural sophistication.
Even the lemonade cart had its own floral corner, bathed in the sunset light and surrounded by pastel-hued flowers that welcomed guests with freshness and charm.
A memory forever
This wedding was, without a doubt, one of those life-changing experiences. We faced new challenges, such as designing and coordinating from another country, adapting to a different environment, and learning to trust every step of the way. But we also met wonderful people, created deep bonds, and confirmed that when love and beauty meet, everything flourishes.
Marisol and Cristophe trusted us from day one. And Clementina became a witness to their story, their patience, and their deep love. This wedding reminded us that the most important thing isn't just the day, but the entire journey leading up to it.
Because there are stories that take their time, but they flourish just when they should.
