  • Intensive Course in Organic Floral Design
  • Location: Clementina Floral Studio – Calle 134A #12B-35, Nuevo Country neighborhood, Usaquén, Bogotá

This course is part of Module 1 of the Intensive Organic Floral Design Course.

This course is an invitation to look at floral design from its most contemplative and artistic origins. We delve into the world of floral still life—also known as nature mortise—not as something static or rigid, but as an invaluable source of knowledge about composition, atmosphere, narrative, and visual balance .

Through the study of floral paintings from the 16th to 18th centuries, we will discover how these arrangements, seemingly frozen in time, capture the transience of life, the beauty of the ephemeral, and the poetry of controlled chaos . We will explore how artists used rhythm, asymmetry, light, and symbolism to construct scenes charged with aesthetic and emotional intent.

This module proposes a modern interpretation of still life: How do we translate these principles into a contemporary floral language—free, foam-free, more organic, and respectful of nature? How do we create compositions that not only look beautiful but also tell a silent, living story?

  • History of organic floral design
  • Still life as a compositional basis.
  • Rhythm, atmosphere and visual focus
  • Transition from classical still life to contemporary floral language

Practical exercise: Composition in a ceramic urn without floral foam, with a free and expressive approach.

Success stories

What our students think of Clementina…

Sabrina - 📍Maracaibo, Venezuela

How was your experience at the floral workshop with us?

A beautiful, creative, and educational experience. The workshop was carefully thought out, from the content to the coffee and snacks. I learned a lot about floral design and have applied it to every step of my project, Pétalo Rosa. I emphasize the ikebana technique, floral arch decoration, and the focus on branding and aesthetics. I highly recommend it, for both beginners and experienced designers.

Hellen - 📍Obarrio, Panama

What did you enjoy most about that day?

The practical part was very, very fun. I understood each part in order to be able to execute it. My favorite part was the large-scale assembly. The colors and groupings of each flower take up a significant amount of space to create a composition. Each one played its role, and all were important.

Milena Mendoza - 📍Bogotá, Colombia

Would you recommend Clementina to someone just starting out in the floral world?

If I did, it's well worth investing in this training with them. I think the workshop is very comprehensive. Plus, Dani doesn't abandon you in the process. After the workshop, she continues to guide you as much as she can and her time allows. It's definitely a great experience.
