This course is designed to begin or strengthen your path in floral design with a contemporary, professional, and thoughtful approach. Through theoretical classes and practical exercises, you'll discover essential techniques, design principles, and how to create from emotion and personal style. It's a space to explore the art of flowers from its fundamentals to its practical application.

Total duration: 16 hours (divided into 4 modules of 4 hours each).

Fundamentals of Floral Design and Flower Recognition

(Principles of floristry, floral selection and recognition)

Objective: Introduction to the world of floristry, from history to essential care.
Practical exercise: Flower recognition activity.

  • History of floristry and evolution of floral design
  • Basic tools: types, uses and care.
  • Recognizing flowers and foliage: names, characteristics, duration

Handling and preserving fresh flowers

Principles and Techniques of Floral Design

(Floral bouquet and packaging design)

Objective: Understand and apply the principles of floral design and basic techniques.
Practical exercise: Making bouquets and packaging (spiral and chicken wire)

  • Principles: balance, rhythm, proportion, harmony and focal point.
  • Techniques: spiral, grouping, lines, blocks.
  • Introduction to color theory.

Floral Composition with Intention

(Design and production of floral boxes)

Objective: Design from a personal emotion, story or concept, with conscious use of flower, shape and color.
Practical exercise: Floral arrangement in a box using floral foam technique.

  • Floral design as an emotional language.
  • Inspiration and visual narrative.
  • Use and care of floral foam.

Mounting in boxes and baskets.

Professionalization and Own Style

(Design, preparation and costs of a flower garden)

Objective: To delve deeper into floral design as a professional practice, from costing to the final aesthetic creation.
Final exercise: Foam flower garden + recipe and price calculation

I am Daniela Ramírez, founder of Clementina Estudio Floral.

Along the way, I discovered floral design as a profound form of artistic expression, where aesthetics, color, shape, and emotion intertwine to tell stories.

I've had the opportunity to train in floral design in cities like London, Madrid, and Mexico City, where I strengthened my creative and technical vision, combining what I learned with my personal perspective and a sensitivity deeply connected to nature.
